Eisenhower Dance Company

Regarded as one of the nation’s premier dance companies, the “eye popping production[s]” (Detroit Free Press) of the Eisenhower Dance Company have received overwhelming support from audiences internationally. Created in 1991 by Laura Eisenhower, the small Detroit company has expanded to an award winning company, winning the Artserve Michigan Governor's Award for Arts and Culture in 2003, and was named a Kresge Arts Fellow in 2012. The Eisenhower Dance Company performs nationwide, as well as in Europe and Russia. The Eisenhower Dance Centers serve as a home base for the company while housing educational programs. The centers have expanded from one center in Detroit to 3 schools in Rochester, Birmingham, and Franklin, MI. The schools teach both pre-professional and recreational dancers.
