The Cassatt String Quartet

October 2012 Residency

The Cassatt String Quartet is thought to be one of America’s premiere ensembles. This all-female group has performed throughout Europe, America and the Far East. Their technically savvy performances of classical music with a contemporary twist have worked to give popularity to this quartet, based out of New York City. The name Cassatt was taken from the American impressionist painter, Mary Casatt in 1985 when the group formed. We are thrilled to have them here in College Station in residency at Texas A&M this October. Look for more news on workshops and performances from Cassatt String Quartet soon!
